Almost every webshop I work with has asked me at some point whether TikTok ads are worth it. The short answer: for some Danish webshops yes, for others not yet. It depends on the product, the audience and, above all, how easily you can produce video. Below is the analysis I do before I recommend TikTok Ads to a webshop selling in Denmark. How big is the TikTok audience in Denmark According to DataReportal's Digital 2026 report, TikTok ads could reach about 1.49 million adults in Denmark at the end of 2025, which is 30.6% of the population aged 18 and over. For comparison, Facebook reached about 3.45 million people and Instagram about 2.65 million. So in Denmark, TikTok is still clearly smaller than Facebook and Instagram, and its audience is younger. It doesn't replace Meta, but it can reach people you don't reach elsewhere, especially under 35. One important point: TikTok Shop, the in-app shop, is not available in Denmark. In the European Union it runs in a handful of countries, including Germany, France, Spain, Italy and, since June 2026, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria and Poland. Denmark is mentioned as a possible next market, but nothing has been announced. For Danish webshops, TikTok is still an ad platform that sends traffic to your site.
