Black Friday early access: the waitlist that sells from the first hour
How to collect email and SMS sign-ups with consent before 27 November, what to promise, which messages to send and how to sell in the first hour without ad spend.

In Black Friday week, cost per click goes up, customers' inboxes fill up and every store shouts louder than the next. A small store doesn't win that race with budget. It can win it with timing: people who signed up in advance get the offer first, before the crowd, straight in their inbox or on their phone. Black Friday 2026 is Friday 27 November, so you have about three weeks to build an early access list. Below is the plan I use, from the sign-up page to the first hour of sales. Why a waitlist and not another campaign An early access list does three things ads don't do during Black Friday: It moves sales ahead of the cost peak. If 300 people sign up for a certain category, you know which stock to check and which products to put first. It builds a base you use afterwards. Part of the sign-ups stay subscribed for Christmas, and the list doesn't disappear when the campaign stops. 1. The promise: one thing, said clearly People don't sign up for "news and offers". First pick from limited stock: good for small batches, special editions or sizes that sell out fast. A list-only bonus: free shipping with no threshold or a small gift in the parcel, instead of a bigger discount. Promise only what you can deliver. If you write "limited stock", the stock really has to be limited, and if you announce a discount, the reference price must follow the rule of the lowest price in the last 30 days. I wrote about both in the articles on Black Friday without fake urgency and discounts and the 30-day lowest price . 2. The sign-up page and consent The page should be short: the headline with the promise, two or three representative products, the…
